Community Relations
Our community and government relations - a heritage of giving back and advocacy.
Tech CU is committed to being a part of our local communities. We work each and every day to demonstrate our values by implementing philanthropic strategies, encouraging employee engagement, and inspiring a new generation of innovative, creative and educated leaders.
We’ve invested more than one million dollars in time, talent and treasure in our local communities since 2007. Click here to learn more about our volunteerism. We give back because we know it’s the right thing to do. We have created strong community partners who work in our core areas of focus: STEM Education, Financial Literacy, Affordable Housing and Health and Wellness.
- STEM Education: We know how important it is to encourage and empower the next generation of innovators, designers and engineers. So we support organizations that create positive learning environments for children to excel in STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math).
- Financial Literacy: Two out of three Americans are financially illiterate. We
understand the importance of preparing children and young adults to lead
healthy, financially educated lives. Our employees volunteer to educate
and mentor local children and young adults — empowering them with the
skills to successfully manage their personal finances.
- Affordable Housing: Every individual should have access to life’s basic
necessities — especially affordable housing. As an FHA approved lender, we
support organizations working to ensure access to safe and affordable
homes in Silicon Valley.
- Health and Wellness: Nothing is more important than your health. We work to
promote a positive and healthy community by investing in programs that
support beneficial behaviors and activities, across all ages.
